Canoe and Kayak Taupo is located in the Waikato region putting it in a premium location for the use of some of the best rivers in New Zealand. “The staff at Canoe and Kayak Taupo are qualified river specialists, trained with the knowledge to make them experts on all you need to know about white water kayaking” says Laura Duncan from Canoe and Kayak Taupo.
To give you the chance to be out on the water and enjoying these New Zealand landmarks for yourself Canoe and Kayak Taupo have a two day course available for all skill types that teaches you the importance of water safety while white water kayaking.
The two-day course is designed to turn beginners into confident and competent Grade 2 white water kayakers. “The course provides a solid foundation of skills needed while the participants have fun and build their confidence” says Laura.
Participants in the two-day course are taught skills such as rescue techniques, river reading techniques, hazard identification & management plus many more skills that will give them the knowledge to start kayaking with their friends.
“Most people want to do another course after experiencing the Multisport white water kayaking course,” says Laura. “I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a great time,” she adds.
