Mum is the word at The Warehouse
Do you know New Zealand’s most deserving mum?
Celebrating Mother’s Day, The Warehouse’s popular ‘Mother of the Year’ competition is back, with the search for New
Zealand’s most deserving mum set to sweep the country.
Mums can be deserving for any reason – whether they’ve inspired, beaten the odds, juggled family and work, gone above
and beyond, or are battling a tough time – all mums have a story and The Warehouse wants to hear them.
New Zealand’s winning mum will receive a special Mother’s Day pampering prize pack, valued at $8,000, which includes:
• Flights to Auckland and a night’s accommodation for a family (up to five)
• A make-over for Mum and her family, plus a family photo-shoot with The Warehouse, and a framed portrait to keep
• The Warehouse gift card ($1,000)
• Green Acres vouchers ($3,000)
The Warehouse CEO, Simon Turner, says the company has been blown away by the heart-warming stories they’ve received in
previous years, with thousands of entries pouring in.
“Being a mum is undoubtedly one of the most worthwhile jobs on the planet, but it’s also the hardest, and often the
least rewarded. This competition is all about saying ‘thank you’ to one special mother. We know all good mums are
deserving, but we’re on the hunt for a mum who really stands out, and we can’t wait to hear Kiwis’ stories,” says Mr
Turner.
The Warehouse has been a favourite shopping destination of Kiwi mums for over 30 years – meeting all families’ needs
under one roof and offering quality goods at affordable prices. With 92 stores and online shopping, The Warehouse
reaches every corner of New Zealand.
“Mums have been shopping with us for three decades, and families have been buying their Mother’s Day gifts from us for
just as long, so this competition is a small way of showing our appreciation,” adds Mr Turner.
Nominate a deserving mum and tell her story at www.thewarehouse.co.nz/motheroftheyear by Sunday 19th April (terms and conditions apply). The winning mum will be announced on Mother’s Day, Sunday 10th May
2015.
