THE F WORD @ The Dark Room
THE F WORD @ The Dark Room
Okay, so the sexes are equal in the eyes of the law. What the F happens now?
Fresh from a sell out season at Wellington’s BATS Theatre, Best on Tap Productions presents
‘The F Word – Sex without the Ism’The Dark Room – April 10th and 11th 8pm.
“Impeccable comic timing" (John Smythe Theatreview). “A slick and polished presentation with lively and energised performances, gives a new take on an old theme" (Ewen Coleman Dom Post.)
The F Word is an often funny, occasionally serious but always authentic exploration into FEMINISM in modern day New Zealand.
In a mixed up new world we are told gender no longer matters, yet girls are drenched in pink and boys still look forward to earning more. We ask, how are men and women are supposed to navigate these blurred lines? How should we work together as colleagues? Whose surname do our kids get? And most importantly, who should pay for dinner on the first date?
Best on Tap are a collective of improvisers who semi-script plays. With their skills for improvisation they can follow Shakespeare’s lead and have a script that is still loose enough to allow for evolution, but with a clearly crafted storyline. The collective includes a wealth of stage and production experience: Nicola Pauling (Voice Arts Trust, WIT, #Divas), Kate Wilson (Return to Sender, WIT, #Divas), Geoff Simmons (Return to Sender, WIT, Improv Bandits), and Matt Hutton (Secrets, Return to Sender, WIT).
