Fiji joins the Asia Pacific Superyachts Network
Asia Pacific Superyachts Fiji is the newest member of the leading Superyacht agency in the Asia - Pacific region and the ‘Missing Link’ in the APS
network, now covering an unrivaled 17 APS offices in 15 countries!
Superyachts can now transit from Panama and be covered by the APS network from Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand, Indonesia,
Singapore, Thailand and onwards throughout the complete Asia - Pacific Region.

“Last year we had 56 superyacht visits to Fiji with nearly all our Superyachts coming through Panama into the Pacific. A
good percentage continued west to Asia”, reports Jamieson.

Pacific. APS now bridges these regions with members in all the key destinations. Our team in Fiji looks forward to a

The island paradise of Fiji has long been a well-known destination for those in search of sun, sea and diverse cultures
in the South Pacific. Famous for its clear waters, soft coral reefs and unspoiled lagoons, the collection of over 300
islands, Fiji is an extraordinary destination for exploring Superyachts.
With APS and the Port Denarau Marina located on the largest of Fiji’s islands, Fiji is transforming from a cruising
destination into a superyacht hub for the SW Pacific region.
Captains and Owners and their guests arriving in the Fijian waters enjoy participating in Fiji’s cultural ‘Kava
Ceremony’ as a half-coconut shell of kava, an intoxicating local brew, is offered to the guest. As a group of locals sit
and watch the receiver downs the drink, claps a thank-you and passes the shell back. Often times the ceremony ends as
one of the locals pulls out a guitar to strum some mellow ‘Bob Marley’ Reggae songs.
Superyachts and all aboard are well taken care of before and during the journey by APS Fiji as confirmed in a letter
from Captain Brady MacDonald of M.Y. Dardanella, writing: “For months before our trip to Fiji David and his crew were
assisting us with whatever Information we needed. Everything went off perfect. From arranging the local excursions or
guides to help with provisions and shopping Yacht Help Fiji (Asia Pacific Superyachts) was excellent. They made it very
clear to us right from the get go that we were important clients and that they would go the extra mile to ensure that we
and the owners had a fantastic trip while in Fiji.”
With the Fijian government’s ‘Super Yacht Decree’ passed in 2010, Superyachts are free to charter in Fiji for up to a
year while enjoying numerous safe anchorages, beautiful lagoons and cruising destinations.
