MediaWorks is conducting a review of processes related to the management of its reality TV shows including the selection of contestants.
As part of that review, MediaWorks wishes to make the following information public.
One of the Bachelorette contestants, Danielle Robinson has a drink driving conviction. She declared this conviction to production company Eyeworks, prior to selection for the show and Eyeworks judged the conviction should not prevent her from taking part in the show.
MediaWorks Corporate Counsel, Alex Nicholson says: “We appreciate the honesty of Danielle Robinson, who disclosed her prior conviction to Eyeworks when she applied to be part of The Bachelor New Zealand.”
