Bakers Delight Bund-Raise for Starship

Bakers Delight Bund-Raise for Starship

Bakers Delight bakeries across New Zealand will give big to support Starship Children’s Hospital this year, with bakeries donating at least $1 to Starship for every pack of Hot Cross Buns sold on Bundraiser Day on Saturday 14 March 2015.

Twenty-eight Bakers Delight bakeries across New Zealand will raise funds for Starship Children’s Hospital, a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family centred care to children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Bakers Delight New Zealand Country Manager, Xavier Barnsley said bakeries are preparing to sell thousands of Hot Cross Buns as Kiwis throw their support behind Bundraiser Day.

“Bundraiser Day receives such strong support from our bakeries and local communities, and we’re thrilled to be able to support Starship on Bundraiser Day,” Mr Barnsley said.

The Starship Foundation Chief Executive Brad Clark said the funds raised through Bundraiser Day will help to purchase specialised massage chairs that will provide therapeutic benefits and stress relief to support wellness and recovery of young people and new mothers with babies.

“We’re pleased to partner with Bakers Delight bakeries across New Zealand again this year for Bundraiser. Thanks to the staff and customers for their support”, Mr. Clark said.

Bundraiser Day takes place on Saturday 14 March 2015, with at least $1 from every pack of Hot Cross Buns sold on the day donated to Starship Children’s Hospital. Donations can also be received via collection tins on all Bakers Delight counters.
