32 young New Zealand sailors are participating in the Volvo Ocean Race Academy being held this weekend in the Race Village. The Academy continues on Sunday 8 March with racing beginning at 10:00 hrs. On Monday 9 March, the Volvo Ocean Race will release the independent report into the stranding of Team Vestas Wind. Further details of the plan are provided on the Race press zone.

The Boatyard, the shared maintenance facility for the VO65’s where the sails are currently spread out on the floor for repair, is open daily from 09:00 hrs.
Maintenance continues outside The Boatyard on the six boats suspended in their cradles. The fleet of VO65's will be craned back into the water from 18:00 hrs Sunday 8 March, weather dependant. It is expected all boats will be back in the water by Monday 9 March.

The activities in the Race Village include the Another Day at the Office movies, the VO65 Cross Section, kids activities, Volvo Pavilion, SCA Pavilion, and all other activities will be open daily from 09:00.
