DAIGRESSION

Returning with his first show in two years, Dai Henwood is back and ready to rumble. A Comedy Festival and audience favourite, Henwood has been working this show like a Woodsmith. Over two years he has refined and sculpted his material down to a perfect one hour nubbin of comedy.

Daigression [dih-gresh-uh n], noun

1. the act of daigressing.
2. a passage or theme that deviates from the central speech or writing.

Comedians can sometimes get derailed from their material, be it by someone sneezing, a phone ringing or a technical fault. This is often where the real magic happens, when a comedian is in the zone, and loving it. These moments are some of the best, and Dai has found that following the tangent is the most interesting and exciting place to live.

DaiGression is collection of jokes, stories and tales by a bloody brilliant comic that always keeps the audience laughing and sends them out into the night with a smile on their dial.

Widely known for his physical and hilarious antics as team captain on TV3’s 7Days, Dai has a special place in the hearts and minds of Kiwis. He has been performing comedy for more than 15 years everywhere from Edinburgh to Montreal, from Tokyo to Sydney, and London to Invercargill.
