Nominations open for Minister of Health Volunteer Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2015 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards – which publicly recognises the thousands of unsung heroes who support New Zealand’s health and disability services.
Volunteering New Zealand supports the awards as a fitting way to raise awareness of, and honour, the incredible contributions health volunteers who inspire us with their care, dedication and hard work, and who make a difference to other New Zealanders every day.
"These awards are an important way to recognise those in our community who dedicate their time and energy to support the health and disability services," says Karen Smith, Vice Chairperson of Volunteering New Zealand.
Individuals and teams of volunteers who
demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to health
services in New Zealand can be nominated in one of the five
categories.
"If you know of any volunteers making a difference within the health or disability field, I strongly urge you to nominate them," says Smith.
For more information about nominations and the Awards go to www.volunteerawards.health.govt.nz.
