Jim Beam Homegrown Sells Out
With an exclusively local line-up Jim Beam Homegrown provides a snapshot of the state of Kiwi music and with 7 stages and 57 acts, one could assume the industry is in good shape. An even better indication is that all of the 17,000 tickets have been snapped up a week before the Wellington festival. Organisers point out that although Kiwi favourites like Shapeshifter, Six60, Shihad and Concord Dawn are definite drawcards new music is always coming through. This year 70% of this year’s acts were not on the bill last year and over half of the acts have never played Homegrown before. For more information on acts, a map and schedule visit www.homegrown.net.nz
Quick Facts:
• 1 Stage, 7 stages, 57 acts – All along the Wellington Waterfront, 7 March – SOLD OUT
• Tickets only $109 +bf – that’s $2.00 an act! (You might not see them all but it’s still amazing value even if you only see 10 acts).
