Auckland Fan Trail information for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The Auckland Fan Trail for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Date – Saturday 28 February 2015.

• The Fan Trail runs from Queen Elizabeth Square, Britomart to Eden Park
• In action on Feb 28, Mar 7 & Mar 14. Will be a dressed route only on Mar 24 (the Semi Final ), with activation taking place only around the Eden Park precinct.
• Light tournament dressing from Queen Elizabeth Square up Karangahape Road.
• Bus Stop dressing and tournament bunting begins from the Karangahape Road over bridge. From here there will be ‘dressers’ who will be providing props in the teams colours for free.
• The 1pm ‘parade of fans’ takes place from the corner of Ponsonby and Great North Rd to the corner of Great North Rd and Bond St, led by a musical performance themed for the competing countries. Walkers are encouraged to join in and be a part of the parade. For the Australia v New Zealand match the parade will be led by the Royal NZ Navy Band.
• Dressers will be stationed from the Karangahape Road over bridge along the route, and from the Sandringham Rd entrance to the Eden Park precinct. Dressers are performers, who will be in over-the-top costumes as umpires, enthusiastic fans and cricket players. They will carry wigs, flags, visors and other fun giveaways to ensure the crowd will look fabulous in stadium.
• Entertainment will be strongest in the Eden Park precinct and include face painters, interactive photo booths, drummers, a brass band, a kapa haka group, roller derby girls, and other activations.

• The Auckland Fanzone is a family-friendly space to enjoy 47 of the 49 tournament matches live on a big screen (the three Perth games will only be screened until midnight NZ time).
