Evolution Motorsport Classic Speedfest
Classic motor racing returns to the south this weekend with the annual Classic Speed-Fest at Teretonga Park near Invercargill.
Supported by Evolution Motorsport the event has again attracted the rare, the exciting and the exotic.
A 1994 Formula 1 Ferrari 412T1B V12 will make demonstration runs during the lunch break on both Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting, while rides in a three-seater Ar-rows Formula One car are also on the menu. Anyone interested should make inquiries at Formula 1 Rides NZ - 0800 F1 RIDE (0800 317 433).
Various race classes will provide action with everything from Formula Junior/Vintage Racing Cars, Formula Libre, Classic Saloons, Historic Touring Cars, Pre 65 Saloons and the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Series. If you have a favourite marque it will prob-ably be there with Mustang's, Camaro's, Valiant Charger's, BMW's, Lotus, Cooper and Maserati all on the grid.
Pre-sale tickets are available from Auto Centre, E Hayes & Sons, and Jesco Hydraulics in Invercargill, and at Harrison Supplies in Gore at a cost of $25 for a weekend pass. Chil-dren 14 and under are free. Tickets are also available online at www.teretonga.org.nz. Weekend passes at the gate are $30 each while Saturday only tickets are $15 and Sunday only are $20.
