As the anticipation for Canadian producer / DJ Lunice's live performance inWellington on Wednesday the 25th of February continues, Madcap is proud to reveal the support acts for the concert.

Supporting Lunice on the night is local electronic singer/songwriter trio Groeniand post-dubstep/future garage producer/live performer Kakapo, two of the most promising young acts currently active within Wellington's music scene.

With their sophomore EP Hewn due for worldwide release in late February via German label Project Mooncircle and praise coming in from Ango (LuckyMe), Om Unit, KCRW (Los Angeles) and HillyDilly, Groeni look poised to take their lyrical rhythmic soul music to audiences across the globe. Loved by the likes of Kutmah of IZWID Records, HIT+RUN Crew and Red Bull Sound Select, Kakapo's jazz, soul and dub infused club-tempo electronica has also been reaching out in its own way, in the process giving him the opportunity to perform around the country alongside the likes of Zacky Force Funk (US), Christoph El Truento, Azizi Gibson and Flatbush Zombies.

With a track record that includes releases on LuckyMe and Mad Decent, and production work for Azelia Banks, Canadian producer/DJ Lunice is one of the most celebrated young stars of Montreal's vibrant club scene. One boxfresh sneaker firmly planted in hip-hop culture and the other stepping into the future-forward beatscapes of modern electronica, his unique sound and charismatic energy has won him fans across the globe. On the night Lunice will be performing his new multimedia live show. Expect a sublime evening of quality electronica that pulls at both the hips and the heartstrings.
