New Zealand Couriers Shows Its Support for Child Cancer at Christmas
For the 17th year New Zealand Couriers is supporting the valuable work undertaken by the Child Cancer Foundation as it
assists children with cancer and their families this Christmas.
New Zealand Couriers has been a long-time advocate of the practical and meaningful assistance that the Foundation
provides to more than 175 families with children undergoing cancer treatment each year.
New Zealand Couriers Senior Executive Robert Levy says the company annually makes a donation on behalf of its staff and
customers to the Foundation, this year it is supporting the charity’s Christmas Appeal.
“As a company our thoughts and wishes are with these children and their families, especially at this time of year. We
feel the most effective way we can provide assistance is via the amazing team at the Child Cancer Foundation,” says
Robert.
“The Foundation’s team manage an incredible balance of getting children and families through the daily challenges of
cancer, whilst ensuring the structures and support are there through every stage of their journey.”
New Zealand Couriers is top of the Child Cancer Foundation’s Christmas Appeal leader board with its $7,000 donation.
Robert is encouraging other businesses show their support by donating on behalf of their customers and staff too.
Child Cancer Foundation Chief Executive Robyn Kiddle says the Foundation is immensely grateful for the many years of
support it has received from New Zealand Couriers, especially over the Christmas season.
“The hospital visits, treatments and procedures don’t stop for our families during this time, but there can be even more
stress placed on the families with travel, escalated costs and ensuring that the child and his or her siblings can still
celebrate the magic of Christmas,” says Robyn.
“The Child Cancer Foundation ensures that the individual needs of each family are met and our Family Support team is
always only a phone call away or in the hospital to provide assistance when needed over this time.”
Robyn says the Foundation receives no government funding, so relies on the generosity of individuals and companies, like
New Zealand Couriers, to continue to provide support to families in hospital, at home and in the community.
New Zealand Couriers also offers free couriering during the Child Cancer Foundation’s Annual Appeal month in March and
discounted rates for its service throughout the rest of the year.
