Fashion goes to the dogs as Saben collaborates with SPCA Auckland

New Zealand fashion brand Saben and their friends have put their paws together to create a limited edition print to adorn t-shirts and tote bags with all profits going to SPCA Auckland this Christmas.

The Saben SPCA artwork was inspired by Saben’s DROOL campaign. The photo series, snapped by Wellington photographer and puppy lover Louise Hatton, showcases beautiful puppies wearing signature Saben BFF necklaces. The campaign features Hatton’s French Bulldog Mac sporting a Saben BFF Necklace in cobalt blue. The photo of Mac was then lovingly hand-drawn by Knucklebones designer, Kimberley Thomas to create an exclusive print for SPCA Auckland. Fittingly, the print series has been dubbed Saben ‘MAC’ for SPCA.

Roanne Jacobson, Saben Director and animal lover, said she fell in love with the DROOL images and decided to turn the ‘MAC’ print into T-shirts and totes and pledged profits to SPCA Auckland to help New Zealand’s furry friends in need.

“We’re thrilled to team up with our creative friends to design and print the limited edition ‘MAC’ t-shirts and totes in support of SPCA Auckland” said Jacobson.

SPCA Auckland CEO Christine Kalin said the holiday season is a busy time for SPCA Auckland, as the number of animals in need swells and extra resources are needed to care for them.

“We absolutely love the Saben MAC prints and we really hope people consider giving these T-shirts and totes as Christmas presents this year. Not only will you be giving a beautiful gift, you’ll be helping us to care for more animals over the busy holiday season,” said Kalin.

Kimberley Thomas, Creative Director at Knucklebones Design Co said she’s proud to work with SPCA Auckland to support their animal rescue efforts.

“SPCA Auckland as an awesome organisation that not only takes care of animals, but also works hard to educate people and raise awareness. As a mother of two cats (and future potential cat lady) I am a huge supporter of their work, and am really excited to have been given the opportunity to contribute on behalf of Knucklebones Design Co.”

SPCA x Saben t-shirts are available online from RRP $44.99 at www.saben.net.nz and http://shop.spca.org.nz/gifts
