Rotary New Zealand's Giving Tuesday
Rotary New Zealand is joining with other charitable organisations who are calling on the public to consider those around the world who will benefit from this year’s GIVING TUESDAY - 2 DECEMBER 2014
Rotary will use donations for various outreach activities they are currently supporting including worldwide polio eradication, Ebola health workers in Sierra Leone and Liberia and closer to New Zealand, the Rotary Emergency Response Kit program which has been assisting families in Pacific countries since 1985. They never know when disaster will strike. Often it has happened during the Christmas/New Year season.
What a great way to celebrate that time of year knowing that Giving Tuesday donations were making someone else's days that much better. Donors have already contacted Rotary including some who are giving the equivalent of one Emergency Response Kit as an alternative to sending gifts to their family or clients at Christmas.
Details can be found on Rotary’s website www.rnzwcs.org with links for making donations.
