Kia Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic are pleased to announce the appointment of their new team manager, Kerri Mikkelsen.
Mikkelsen who originally hails from the Waikato has spent years working in sports event management, mainly Netball for the NSW Swifts, at the World Netball Championships and most recently with Netball New Zealand. Mikkelsen will join the Magic team early December ahead of pre-season training and will work closely with coach Julie Fitzgerald and assistant coach Margaret Forsyth.
Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Chief Executive Tim Hamilton says the role of manager is important within a team environment and he’s delighted to have secured Mikkelsen for the job.
“We have no doubt that Kerri will become part of the Magic family in no time and we’re excited to have her on board with us as we prepare for the busy season ahead.”
