Be inspired with NZ House & Garden Tours 2015
A diverse selection of beautiful Kiwi homes will again open their doors for the country’s most popular house and garden
tour.
The NZ House & Garden Tours 2015 is a highly anticipated annual charity event that gives inside access to inspiring residential
properties around New Zealand.
Tour homes are located in four different regions and have been especially selected by NZ House & Garden for their innovative and stylish interiors.
The first tour takes place in Auckland on March 6 and covers the city fringe and central suburbs of Ponsonby, Herne Bay
and Parnell. Tour visitors will get the chance to step inside some inner city gems that showcase the art of
small-and-beautiful living, including a little art-filled apartment set on top of the old George Courts building in
Karangahape Rd.
Next stop is Cambridge on March 13. Set in heartland New Zealand, this tour takes in the tree-lined township and
tranquil countryside. Homes on this tour include a former service station that's been converted to a remarkable lakeside
home, a farmhouse with a gorgeously girly vibe and a perfectly polished villa.
Renowned for its spectacular coastlines, big skies and wineries, Wairarapa will host a tour on March 20. Eleven
strikingly different homes in Featherston, Greytown and Martinborough feature on this tour from the tiny and
perfectly-formed workingman's cottage to a sleek, art-filled modern home.
The NZ House & Garden Tours 2015 then wrap up on March 28 in Queenstown. Almost all the homes on this tour have been designed and
built with the majestic alpine scenery in mind. The line up of ten houses includes a luxurious gallery-like home, a
sweet cottage on the shores of Lake Hayes and three very different Arrowtown gems.
Benefiting from the NZ House & Garden Tours 2015 is the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, the country’s foremost breast cancer education and
awareness organisation.
The foundation will receive proceeds from the tours to support the eight women a day diagnosed with breast cancer in New
Zealand. Proceeds will fund local support services and research in each of the four areas of the NZ House & Garden Tours. This allows everyone who supports the event to help people affected by cancer in their own community.
