Mountain Warrior Takes on the New Zealand
Navy
SUPER 8 Heavyweight star, Shane
Cameron is pulling out the big guns for the New Zealand Navy
when he puts them through their boxing paces in what is
expected to be gruelling PT session at Devonport Naval base
onTuesday, November 11.
The 'Mountain Warrior', who is renowned for his relentless approach to conditioning will give Navy personnel an exclusive insight into his preparations for his upcoming title bout against current SUPER 8 Heavyweight King, Kali ‘Mean Hands’ Meehan.
Cameron will also take to water for a tour on the 131metre long, 9,000 ton HMNZS CANTERBURY to understand how 120 core crew use boxing drills to keep fit while at sea.
Shane’s visit is on Armistice Day, the Northern Europe equivalent of ANZAC day, celebrated annually on the 11TH of November.
Although sailors aren’t usually permitted to grow moustaches, the Chief of Navy has made a special exception for Movember. Those Navy personnel who attend Tuesday’s PT session with Shane, will make a gold coin donation to this worthy cause and be in to win tickets to the Mahindra SUPER 8 / SUPER FIGHT NIGHT.
