Nashville meets Queenstown
Nashville meets Queenstown

Cam Scott launches onto the international music scene following his long list of accomplishments overseas and here at home being dubbed as New Zealand’s answer to Australian, Keith Urban.
“It is hard to ignore the rising genre of modern country rock/pop globally with artists such as Carrie Underwood & Blake Shelton consistently on the mainstream US charts with their more pop-infused sound,” says Cam Scott’s manager, Sarah Perriam.
After returning from Nashville, USA, where Cam performed on the global artist stage, the farm-boy from Canterbury launches his recording career today with debut single, Somethin Bout a Girl.
He releases the
single in conjunction with a music video shot with the best

“It was important to me to remember that even though we have a Nashville sound, this isn’t Nashville. I chose to use the Southern Lakes as the backdrop to my debut knowing the international reach this video is destined for. What a great way to showcase New Zealand,” exclaims Cam.
Produced by StoryWorks, alongside acclaimed Cinematographer, Ben Ruffell, the video features beautiful temptation on the journey to the ultimate party and his girl aboard the multi-million dollar super yacht, the Pacific Gem.
“It’s about the sass of the wholesome girl that can still hold a man’s attention in the distracting world of flesh and sex appeal,” explains Cam.
The single was produced by Andrew Cochrane of FX Productions who has worked most recently with 2014 Tui Award winner, Kaylee Bell & 2014 Toyota Starmaker, Jared Porter on their duet, PIECES, which is currently sitting at #2 on the official Australian Country Music Charts.
Cam Scott has recently been announced to perform alongside Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich and Chris Young at the international country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD, in March 2015.
