Summer Shows in Dowse Square - Call to Be Involved
Free lunchtime shows in Dowse Square, Lower Hutt from 24 Jan - 22 March 2015.
Are you part of a music, dance, performance, kapa haka, singing, drumming or cultural group? Looking for a free public place to strut your stuff over summer? Contact Hutt City Council to be part of Summer Shows in Dowse Square. Deadline for expressions of interest is Friday November 14.
From 24 January to 22 March 2015 HCC is running a series of free lunchtime performances on Saturdays from 12.30 to 1.30pm in Dowse Square. The series finishes with the Big Day Dowse onSunday 22 March and includes Hutt Fringe and Common Ground public art festival.
Music, performance and culture groups are invited to contact HCC's Community Arts Advisor if they are interested in putting on a lunchtime performance. HCC is offering a small performers' fee and lots of promotion to get the word around.
Bordered by The Dowse Art Museum, Reka Café and i-Site information centre, Dowse Square is a prime visitor spot to wow an audience.
