Southland Sharks Co-Captain to Tutor New SIT Sports Programme
The Southern Institute of Technology is proud to announce the appointment of Southland Sharks Co-Captain James Paringatai as tutor of the newly developed National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (Core Skills) Level 2.
This level 2 certificate is a pathway programme designed to help people who need a helping hand to get back into the workforce or onto the education ladder.
This qualification can lead graduates into the industry or onto further education such as Level 3 and 4 certificates and then the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise.
The curriculum covers skills such as sports coaching, purpose and structure of a fitness enterprise and monitoring and promoting client security, comfort, enjoyment and learning in recreation.
