Feminist Sound Waves
Join experimental sound practitioner, Rachel Shearer for a free-ranging conversation about women working in the arena of experimental sound/music. Drawing on anecdotes, recorded conversations, and examples of sound works, Shearer will sample the diverse practices of women in sound, discussing her work in the context of a range of other female performers in Aotearoa and inviting an exploration into what feminism has meant to them and how it has affected their practices.
Followed by a sound performance by Rachel Shearer.
