Endangered Norfolk Island Green Parrot focus for Bird Lovers this December
Join local Norfolk Island bird expert Margaret Christian, along with Derek Ball, Director of WildMob and Chair of Island Arks Australia on Norfolk Island 02-06 December. Their wealth of knowledge will provide a fun-filled week of bird watching and a highlight of the week being a presentation on the endemic and endangered Norfolk Island Green Parrot.
See Norfolk Islands birds by night and enjoy guided birding tours of Norfolk Island rainforest and seabird breeding colonies. During the week a presentation by researchers and managers of the endemic and endangered Norfolk Island Green Parrot will be specially presented to visiting birdwatchers.
The Norfolk Island group is a breeding site for several 100,000 seabirds including the masked booby, grey ternlet, white tern, sooty tern and wedge-tailed shearwater. Phillip Island supports one of the largest breeding populations of red-tailed tropic birds in Australia.
