HARCOURTS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCE INAUGURAL ‘HALBERG SPORT FOR LIFE’ CHARITY DINNER
Sporting greats including Sir Graham Henry and Rob Waddell to debate power of sport
The Harcourts Foundation has today announced the inaugural Halberg ‘Sport for Life’ dinner, an evening celebrating the power of sport, taking place on Thursday 9 October at the SKYCITY Convention Centre in Auckland to raise funds for its new charity partner the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation.
The Halberg ‘Sport for Life’ dinner will feature a panel discussion hosted by Sky Sport commentator Scotty Stevenson. Former All Blacks coach Sir Graham Henry, All Blacks mental skills coach Gilbert Enoka, Halberg Disability Sport Foundation Trustee and Olympic rowing champion Rob Waddell and Paralympic cycling champion Phillipa Gray will discuss the power of sport and the positive impact it has on the lives of Kiwis and the nation.
The evening will include a live auction of unique sport experiences and memorabilia. All funds raised at the event will support the work of the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation, the charity set up by Sir Murray Halberg, which enhances the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders by enabling them to participate in sport and recreation.
The Halberg ‘Sport for Life’ Dinner is hosted by the Harcourts Foundation, the charitable arm of the real estate group, which provides funding to community groups around the country. The Harcourts Foundation announced a formal partnership with Halberg in May 2014 as it was inspired by the charity’s work supporting physically disabled New Zealanders.
