Monster Jam® thunders into New Zealand for the First Time Ever
American-based Feld Motor Sports® announced today that monster truck juggernaut Monster Jam® is headed to New Zealand for the first time ever. The show will debut at Auckland’s QBE Stadium in North Harbour, on the 1st and the 2nd of November for three exciting performances, that are priced from just $25 a ticket.
Monster Jam is one of the most exciting forms of family entertainment, featuring four-metre tall, five-tonne beasts. The stars of the show are the biggest performers on four wheels: the Monster Jam trucks. These amazing machines bring fans to their feet while racing and ripping up a custom-designed track full of obstacles to soar over – or smash through.
The show’s line up will include ten world class Monster Jam trucks, led by the 4-time Monster Jam World Finals Champion Grave Digger® and 11-time World Champion Max-D, the ferocious Monster Mutt® Rottweiler, Marvel’s very own super hero Iron Man™, the Queen of Carnage, MADUSA® and more!
Monster Jam is a family friendly day-out that starts with the Party in the Pits which takes place before the 2pm shows on Saturday and Sunday, . This pre-show experience provides event goers with unparalleled access by allowing them onto the actual racetrack where they can meet the drivers, get up close to the Monster Jam trucks, collect their autographs, take photos and explore the obstacles they’ll jump over and eventually destroy! The Monster Jam Pit Party is truly the ultimate experience for any Monster Jam fan, and provides unprecedented access to the stars of the show in a way that you can’t find in any other family entertainment touring property on the planet.
North Harbour’s QBE stadium, home to North Harbour Rugby and the Auckland Blues, having recently held world-class events such as the IRB Under 20’s Junior World Championship Rugby tournament, and later this year, the FIFA Under 20’s World Cup, will be transformed into a Monster Jam extravaganza, with over 10,000 tones of dirt dropping on the hallowed turf. It is the perfect location for Aucklanders to access with easy transport options over the bridge from all over the city.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Monster Jam to our fans in New Zealand,” said Feld Motor Sports’ International Vice President Magnus Danielsson.
“We are revved up and ready to go with 3 huge shows in Auckland and ten of our most popular trucks. This is as big as it gets, and we are confident that crowds from all over the country will not be disappointed.”
Monster Jam entertains more than 4 million fans a year at 125 different locations and more than 350 performances. The Auckland date is an addition to an already impressive International Monster Jam 2014 World Tour that features countries like United Arab Emirates, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Sweden to name a few, this is a truly international show with world-class entertainment in the form of Monster Jam Monster Trucks and their talented crew of drivers.
