Korero Mai - Saturday 10 & Sunday 31 August 2014

Saturday 30 August 2014 – Haami Piripi
Massey University's Albany campus will next week host Pae Roa 2040, a conference marking the 30 years since the Hui Taumata set an agenda for Maori development in the opening months of the third Labour Government. Te Rarawa chair Haami Piripi has worked on both the government and iwi side over those 30 years. In Kia Korero Mai on Saturday, he discusses with Eru Morgan how Maori have progressed in that time, what still lies ahead of them, and how treaty settlements have affected Maori development.

Sunday 31 August 2014 – Henare Kingi
On Sunday in Kia Korero Mai, political commentator Henare Kingi looks at the political landscape three weeks out from the election. He considers how the Dirty Politics revelations may be affecting voters, who is winning the debates, and which Maori candidates and parties are looking most impressive.

Korero Mai Ki Ahau a half hour features programme every Saturday and Sunday from noon, which takes an in – depth look at issues affecting te ao Maori. Totally in te reo Maori brought to you by Waatea News in association with Te Mangai Paho.
