Earthquake strengthening update

We expected to reopen on the 3 November but there may be a further delay. Thistle Hall is an old building and she may need some further work done to ensure she's good to go for another 100 years. We'll update you about this around mid-September.

2015 FRINGE FESTIVAL - 20 February - 14 March

Thistle Hall is proud to be a 2015 Fringe Festival venue. If you intend to register with the Fringe Festival, as an artist or performer, we can offer you our Gallery, Upstairs Hall or Lightbox. You need to apply directly to us for a space and Register with the Fringe Festival. Registrations open on 27 August 2014 and close 8 October 2014.

We also welcome enquiries from Fringe artists and performers who may want to use our Upstairs Hall or Meeting Room during the day for rehearsals.

Gallery - Fringe Venue
Dates available:

1.Please download and read the Hire Terms and Conditions, Application Form and Floor Plan (scroll to bottom of page)
2. Please complete the Application Form and email or post to us by 21 September 2014.
4. We will review the applications and get back to you by 25 September 2014.

Accessibility info: The main entry to the gallery is wheelchair accessible. We have an accessible toilet via the Arthur St entrance.

Upstairs Hall - Fringe Venue
Dates available: 25/02/14 – 3/03/14
Times: 5.00pm – 12 midnight (including pack in time)
Capacity: 100 people
Available: 3 phase power, 100 chairs, 7 trestle tables, staging

Lightbox - Fringe Venue
Dates available: 22/02/14 – 15/03/14
The Lightbox provides a free, public exhibition space to showcase a changing range of creative work. The Lightbox is located on the Arthur Street side of Thistle Hall, visible to pedestrians and motorists, and is fully illuminated from within when dark.
