Comedy for Cure Kids
is back and this year the 7 Days Red Nose Day
Special is a comedian scrum of epic proportions
pitting New Zealand vs. Australia – bringing together
comedians and entertainers, rugby superstars and
international celebrities to make Friday, August 22nd the
funniest night of the year, all for a great cause.
Hosted by Jeremy Corbett, the 7 Days Red Nose Day Special is an hour of comedy and entertainment, and the culmination of Cure Kids’ annual Red Nose Day appeal, which raises money for essential medical research into the life-threatening illnesses that affect New Zealand children.
7 Days Producer, Jon Bridges says the 7 Days Red Nose Day Special will be a fun and hilarious hour of viewing for comedy lovers and rugby fans alike.
“As the country raises money for Cure Kids, 7 Days brings a Bledisloe Cup version of the show – New Zealand’s best comedians vs. Australia’s best in a hilarious one-hour romp through the week’s news. You’ve got an hour of comedy that only happens once a year.”
7 Days Red Nose Day Special screens from 9.30pm on TV3 and will feature 7 Days Kiwi favourites Paul Ego, Dai Henwood and Josh Thomson against and Australia’s Chopper, Tom Gleeson and Fiona O’Loughlin.
Highlights will include comedy tricksters Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce from Jono and Ben at Ten, rugby superstar Jonah Lomu, All Blacks Jerome Kaino and Israel Dagg, stars from the The Inbetweeners as well as updates on the work carried out by Cure Kids.
The fundraising tally will be broadcast LIVE on The Paul Henry Show on TV3 from 10.30pm.
