Seating You
A Fabulous Fundraiser
Circa Theatre is very excited to announce the upcoming fundraising variety performance, Seating You, which will take place in Circa One for one night only, Sunday, 31 August.
Directed by Lyndee-Jane Rutherford with music by Michael Nicholas Williams, Seating You will feature performances by some of New Zealand’s top theatre artists: George Henare, Michael Hurst, Jennifer
Ward-Lealand, Ray Henwood, Jeffrey Thomas and Awhimai Fraser.
“I am thrilled to bring together this group of talented New Zealand artists for one unforgettable evening of
entertainment,” said actor, director and Circa Council member Lyndee-Jane. “Three of our performers are coming from
Auckland just for this event, and Circa is thrilled to have the support of all of these incredible actors."
The evening will include Ne me Quitte pas performed by Jennifer Ward-Lealand, excerpts from Shakespeare performed by
Michael Hurst, Dylan Thomas performed by New Zealand's favourite Welsh actors Jeffrey Thomas and Ray Henwood, and songs
performed by our beloved George Henare.
All proceeds from Seating You will go towards the Millionth Bum Campaign to replace the seats in Circa One, expected to happen in early 2015. Ticket
sales have already reached 50%, with two weeks to go before the event.
