INSIGHT Studio Performances

Thu 25 – Fri 26 September 2014, 6pm

Venue: New Zealand School of Dance, Te Whaea: National Dance & Drama Centre, 11 Hutchison Road, Newtown, Wellington

Intimate performances of classical and contemporary dance give audiences a first-hand experience of the School.

Seeing NZSD students dance in the studio where they train provides a real insight into these two contrasting techniques and the repertoire they are learning.

Highlights in term three will include Rose Adage taught by Pablo Aharonian, guest tutor from Ballet de Santiago, and other excerpts from Sleeping Beauty coached by Pablo with NZSD tutor Nadine Tyson. The contemporary dance students will present previews of some of the works being rehearsed for Graduation Season in November, including excerpts from Dutch choreographer Wessel Oostrum’s The Speech and New Zealand dance theatre artist Douglas Wright's RAPT.

Entry is by koha/donation and no booking is required.
