Super League Darts announced
Radio Hauraki and Radio Sport are proud to present New Zealand’s first professional darts tournaments, Super League Darts, at venues across New Zealand in September.
The tournaments will take place on the following dates:
Shed 6, Wellington – Saturday September the 6th
Clarence St Theatre, Hamilton – Friday September the 19th
The Trusts Arena, Auckland – Saturday September the 20th
The three knockout tournaments will feature New Zealand’s best players including Rob “The Hurricane” Szabo, Craig “CC” Caldwell, Peter “Stumpy” Hunt, Greg “Mozzie” Moss and Jonathan “Jono” Silcock and Mark “The Cowboy” McGrath . The tournaments will be played under PDC rules, which is the 501 game format.
Super League Darts promises to be bigger and better than any darts tournament that New Zealand has ever seen. It’ll deliver all the action and atmosphere of professional darts with the theme songs, walk on girls, costumes and one hundred and eighties.
The tournaments will see capacity crowds of over 500 people at each venue. There is a limited number of tickets for the public and go on sale at 10am on Thursday the 6th of August. Tickets are from $30 and can be purchased by visiting the website www.superleaguedarts.com.
Darts internationally has experienced rapid growth and is amongst the fastest growing sports with tournaments in Europe selling out months in advance.
More information can be found by visiting www.superleaguedarts.com and by contacting the tournament promoters 265 Events.
