The journey to dance with the best was not an easy one for this internationally sought after Puerto Rican dancer and choreographer, now based in New York. In 1995 Eddie Morales was involved in a hit and run bus accident which left him fighting to walk. During his recuperation he became inspired to dance professionally when he saw Janet Jackson’s IF music video. He began his incredible recovery with his own regiment of dancing for rehabilitation. On his recovery Eddie caught the eye of Mary J. Blige who personally invited him to join herShare My World tour. Since then he has toured the world with international superstars including Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Usher, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, Boys II Men, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, super producerTimbaland, Jay Z, notorious B.I.G ,Will Smith, J-LO and Missy Elliot.
Eddie has also featured in a swag of music videos, including his personal favourite, Justin Timberlake’s Like I Love You plus starred and choreographed in the feature film Stomp the Yard. Since 1999 Eddie has remained a fixture of international award shows, dancing and choreographing at such renowned premiere events including the Grammy Awards, MTV’s Video Music Awards, the American Music Awards, the World Music Awards, the Asia Music Awards and European Music Awards to name a few.
In 2006, Eddie transitioned his career from dancer to choreographer and was immediately honoured with a request from Justin Timberlake. In preparation for the impending two-year international tour to promote his multi-platinum album Future Sex / Love Sounds,Timberlake requested Eddie to choreograph a number to the hit song Summer Love. Since then Eddie has put his dance experience to work on a whole new level… choreographing/directing for all the top artists including, most recently Mariah Carey.
