Kiwi Acts to Perform at California Reggae Festival

California’s Island Reggae Festival: Kiwi Acts to Perform to Sold Out Crowd

Kiwi favourites Aaradhna, Sammy Johnson, Savage and Three Houses Down are in California to take the stage alongside huge reggae acts such as Common Kings and J. Boog for the third annual Pacific Island Reggae Festival this coming weekend.

Renowned for bringing together some of the best local and international acts, the sold out festival will be held at the Redwood Amphitheatre in California’s Great America Theme Park.

The international appearances come at an exciting time for all the artists. Soulful songstress Aaradhna has recently penned a production deal with revered label Truth & Soul, who are responsible for producing and writing for acts such as Amy Winehouse, Adele and Aloe Blacc, while Savage has inked his own deal withMinistry of Sound off the back of the triple platinum remix of ‘Swing’ with Joel Fletcher.

Sammy Johnson is also making huge waves overseas, having just come off just off a stand-alone US tour with Island Reggae Festival headliners, Common Kings, andThree Houses Down have been working away on new music.

Ensuring Kiwi fans won’t miss out, Aaradhna and Sammy Johnson have also been confirmed to perform at New Zealand’s premiere reggae festival, Raggamuffin, which will take place in Auckland on 13 December. More details available here.
