Already been touted as a 'Kiwi Classic', ‘The Last Saint’ follows Minka (Beulah Koale), a teenage boy living in the heart of Auckland City who is forced into a world of crime in order to raise money to survive and to save his mum. The film, written and directed by Rene Naufahu, features stand-out performances from a cast made up of a mixture of screen veterans (Colin Moy, Calvin Tuteao, Joseph Naufahu , Xavier Horan) and up and coming talent.

‘The Last Saint’ is a contemporary Kiwi urban thriller that is set to make audiences laugh out loud, before having them cower in their seats. It takes the viewer on a dramatic ride through a dark, frightening, at times highly entertaining world, not seen before in an NZ film.

Writer and Director, Rene Naufahu is thrilled that the time has come to show the great work that has gone into this mini-epic to the NZ Public.

"I'm really excited about the Gala Premiere,’ Says Rene. ‘Not just because I'm finally showing The Last Saint in the way that I dreamt on the big screen, but to be debuting in the iconic Civic theatre, home of so many cinematic memories for me growing up, in front of friends, family and loved ones just makes it extra-special.
