NZ’s Eco fashion programme announced

The official programme for 2014’s New Zealand Eco Fashion Exposed, to be held in Lower Hutt in July, is out. Registrations of interest have closed and an exciting line-up has been announced today, with tickets now available.

Two main evening shows will occur – on Friday 25 July, Maintain & Sustain – Runway & Styling Tips, will feature stylist Nora Swann & designer Denise H in an evening of a unique mix of runway, styling tips, and opportunities to purchase unique upcycled items.

Maintain & Sustain will be followed by the Dulux Eco Designer Runway on Saturday 26 July with a full line-up of eco designers from across the world showcasing organic, ethical, upcycled and recycled fashion. From high-end pieces to upcycled fashion and everything in between.

Models on the runway will be made-up by organic cosmetics brand SANTE.

Director Denise Anglesey is also happy to announce that, thanks to support from the Hutt City Council, ticket prices have been priced affordably.

“We want as many people as possible to be able to experience the show, and support from the Council has enabled us to keep ticket prices down – they start at just $19.50 for the main shows, and entry to the pop-up and expo is free.”

In addition to the two main shows, on Thursday 24 July will be a Media & Buyers event where media and potential buyers are encouraged to attend a more intimate session where designers will have the opportunity to present their collections personally and discuss the unique origins and thought-processes of their items.

Evening shows from Thursday through Saturday are all to be held at the Notre Dame Performing Arts Centre in Lower Hutt.

Also occurring during the week are a pop-up shop on High Street, where various designers, many of whom are showing on the runway, will be offering garments and accessories for sale; an eco expo over the weekend showcasing eco homewares and the like; and several eco designer workshops.

NZ Eco Fashion Exposed 2014 is proudly supported by Major Sponsor, Hutt City Council.

Further details for the runway shows, pop-up, expo, and workshops along with ticketing information can be found online at www.nzecofashionexposed.co.nz.
