Roller Derby home season opens with a shakeup
Wellington’s Richter City Roller Derby league will host its home opener featuring all new team line-ups in a new venue on Saturday 12 July.
Richter’s original home teams Smash Malice and Brutal Pageant will face off in the first bout of the home season round robin following a league-wide shakeup that has seen all three home team rosters rejigged for the first time in three years.
Several veteran skaters have swapped team strips this season while a whole new crop of rookies has joined the Richter ranks. Fans can check out the new line-ups at https://www.facebook.com/richtercity
With a more cosy and homegrown atmosphere than Richter’s former home TSB Arena, fans will have to get in quick for the limited number of seats available at new bouting venue Kilbirnie Rec Centre.
Doors 6pm, bout starts 7pm – tickets available at http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/2014/brutal-pageant-vs-smash-malice/wellington
