Robyn Broughton to Return to Haier Pulse in 2015

Robyn Broughton will return for a fourth season at the helm of the Haier Pulse in 2015, having agreed terms for a
contract renewal. She has coached the team to their best-ever results in the ANZ Championship since being appointed in
2012.
Her impressive coaching record includes coaching the Southern Steel for the first four seasons of the Trans-Tasman
League, securing two appearances in the play-offs, and previously leading the Southern Sting to seven National Bank Cup
titles and three runner-up positions during her 10-year tenure.
She has also enjoyed international success as assistant coach to the Silver Ferns for three years and leading New
Zealand to the World Fastnet title in 2010, as well as coaching a World 7 to victory over Australia in 2009.
Broughton is hoping for better results in 2015. “I am looking forward to another season with Haier Pulse. While I share
the disappointment with the players that we failed to reach the play-offs this year, we had sufficient spells of
outstanding play to give confidence for next year. Apart from our inexplicable loss to Tactix, we beat every NZ team
twice in 2014. I eagerly await the composition of our player roster for next year and I anticipate that we will achieve
better results in 2015,” she said.
Haier Pulse and Netball Central Zone CEO Carolyn Young is delighted to have secured the services of the legendary coach
for another year. “Robyn brings with her a wealth of ANZ Championship experience and has already contributed three years
of high quality and invaluable coaching that has helped to develop the Haier Pulse into contenders,” she explained.
