Auckland Welsh Choir Perform ‘Music to Warm the Heart’ on a Chilly June Afternoon


The Auckland Welsh Choir presents a varied mid-winter programme: ‘Music to Warm the Heart’.

The choir will be presenting its usual stylistic variety of lyrical and sacred music including songs in English, German and its cornerstone Welsh. Adding to the group’s repertoire and audience’s interests, the choir is performing its first song in Chinese and the concert will feature Chinese harp soloist Joyce Guo, playing the Gu Zheng (Chinese Zither).

Soloist Soprano Rachel Roberts will highlight an eclectic programme of traditional and contemporary choral music to ‘Warm the Heart’ on the Winter Solstice.

Tickets for this concert are limited with the venue, St Barnabas Church in Mt Eden, able to seat approximately 200 people. All profits from the concert will be donated to St Barnabas Church.

Where: St Barnabas Church, cnr Mount Eden Road and Bellevue Road, Mt Eden, Auckland

Tickets: Can be purchased for $25 by phoning (09) 361 1000, or through iTicket www.iticket.co.nz (incurs service fee), or at the door (children under 14 are free).

Concessions are available for student rush and group bookings.
