The Kings of Country
Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson
walk into a bar …..
Imagine what it would be like to have three country music legends playing their world-wide hits side by side in Hamilton or Rotorua.
This month that idea isn’t so far-fetched because, in just one week, three of the world’s best tribute artists will be riding in, fresh from sell-out concerts in the USA, to perform the Kings of Country - an unforgettable tribute to country music’s finest.
Starring American musicians Philip Bauer as Johnny Cash, Marion Deaton as Willie Nelson and Marty Edwards as Kenny Rogers, the trio and their band will celebrate some of country music’s most cherished songs in one foot stomping night.
Marty Edwards (Kenny) has been endorsed by the man himself and has featured on the Oprah show, Jay Leno and CNN News.
Philip Bauer (Johnny) has played with country music superstars such as LeAnn Rimes, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie and Toby Keith and as a successful original songwriter.
Marion Deaton is the world’s leading Willie Nelson tribute artist and has played with some of music’s finest including Percy Sledge, Roy Orbison, Neil Sedaka, Gene Pitney, Del Shannon, Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton, Dickey Lee, Gene Simmons and Ronnie Milsap to name a few!
YOU don’t want to miss what happens when the look and sound of Rogers, Cash and Nelson come together when the Kings of Country walk into a bar (or in this case, a theatre!) near you!
