TEDxWellington has arrived!
TEDx License holder DK, has been awarded a city license from the TED organisation raising the event to be on par with its other city counterparts TEDxAuckland & TEDxChristchurch.
After two very successful TEDxTeAro events in 2012 and 2013, the third TEDx event organized by license holder, DK, will be larger in capacity, longer in duration and covering more cool content from the country’s capital. TEDxWellington is here and has set Sunday, 24 August as its 2014 date and welcomes nominations of speakers at tedxwellington.com
(Nominations close at noon, Monday June 16th 2014)
“As with the previous TEDx events here in the capital, we are looking to engage the Wellington community in nominating individuals to speak at the first TEDxWellington. We are hunting for thought provoking ‘ideas worth sharing’ and exceptional storytellers to wow our audience in-house and globally (as all talks are uploaded to YouTube). Help us tell Wellington’s story and make this first event the best it can be!” says TEDxWellington organizer, DK.
TEDxWellington will be held at Wellington’s remarkable Shed 6 venue. Ticket numbers have been increased to 450 from the previous 100 allotment and are strictly limited. Fans can follow @TEDxWellington on twitter and the blogtedxwellington.com/blog for ticket sale details, speaker announcements and other exciting updates and offers.
