Walker to miss Pulse rematch in Nelson

Talented EasiYo Tactix defender Zoe Walker has been ruled out of this weekends’ ANZ Championship match in Nelson due to
an ankle injury.
Walker is under medical supervision and is expected to miss at least two rounds of the ANZ Championship, including the
Round 12 match against the Kia Magic in Tauranga.
Auckland’s Hannah Broederlow has been called into the EasiYo Tactix squad as a replacement player for Sunday’s match in
Nelson against the Haier Pulse. Hannah is a former NZ Secondary school and NZ U21 player and has previously played in
the ANZ Championship for the Haier Pulse (2009) and Northern Mystics (2013) as a replacement player.
Nelson-born Walker will still be travelling with the team and is disappointed to miss the match in front of her home
crowd, the only time the team play there this season.
EasiYo Tactix coach Leigh Gibbs says Walker is expected to return to the team to finish off the season on a positive
note.
“I’m disappointed for Zoe that she doesn’t get to play in front of her family in Nelson this weekend, but our priority
is getting her back to full fitness and we are hoping she will make a speedy recovery,” Gibbs said.
The match between hosts EasiYo Tactix and Haier Pulse at Nelson’s Saxton Stadium on Sunday night is now sold out.
