Popular Opera sensation, Geoff Sewell, the internationally successful tenor and multi-platinum selling recording artist
is in Wellington for a one-night exclusive concert this Friday 9 May, 8pm at the St. James Theatre, Wellington.
London based Geoff Sewell has confirmed one show in Wellington, being supported by Soprano Daniela-Rosa Cepeda, and
promises a charismatic performance, blending the classical skills of opera with the immediate appeal of popular music.
As one of the creators and founding members of the world’s first opera band ‘Amici Forever’ Geoff has performed for
royals, sports fans and he has enabled enjoyment of opera across generations.
“It’s a pleasure to share an intimate evening at the iconic St. James in Wellington and sing these great classical songs
and make sure they stay alive in the minds of a new generation. And with my new album ‘Live Love Sing!’ I‘ve loved the
creative process of writing my own songs and creating something that is unique to me, which is a rare treat in my
genre”.
Being committed to community service Geoff is also waiving his fee, with the proceeds of this event going to local
Wellington project ‘The Karori Event Centre’. “Having grown up in Wellington, I am excited to be able to contribute to
the building of what promises to be a quality performing arts and events venue for Wellingtonians to enjoy.” says Geoff.
