Dawn Raid Celebrates 15 years:
Announces Australasian Tour, Anniversary Album
Tuesday 29th April, 2014 - In celebration of 15 years in the game, countless awards, platinum albums and the discovery of some of the country’s
foremost talent, New Zealand’s premiere urban label, Dawn Raid Entertainment, is hitting the road with a selection of their flagship artists, as well as releasing a limited edition Dawn Raid
15Year Anniversary Album.
Boosting a huge line-up including local legends Che Fu, Savage, Deceptikonz, Aaradhna & DJ Peter Gunz, alonside the prodigious talents of Sammy Johnson,Monsta and BrownHill, the first class collective will play shows in Wellington, Auckland, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney over late May.
Hosted by Dawn Raid co-founder, Brotha D, as well as featuring local support, the Dawn Raid Anniversary Tour is more than just a show; it’s a showcase and celebration of Kiwi talent and their success.
“When we started Dawn Raid, we aimed to fill a need by creating a space to support up-coming talent and bring in the
next generation. 15 years after the release of our first album, and I think that’s exactly what we’ve achieved – and
what we continue to do. We’re very proud of the artists we work with and we want to celebrate that,” Brotha D said.
The culmination of that inspired idea can be seen on recently released Dawn Raid 15 Year Anniversary Album which features a collection of classic Kiwi tracks from their world-class roster, and is available now via iTunes.
Bouncing between longtime favourites, recent chart toppers and classic club stompers, the album features everything from
“Swing” by Savage and “Stop, Drop & Roll feat Deceptikonz” by Mareko, to Aaradhna’s “Wake Up”, “Slow Wind” by Swiss and tracks from P-Money, Monsta, David Dallas, Horsemen Familyand more.
As a thank you to fans who have supported the Dawn Raid artists over the years, a selection of albums have also been re-released on iTunes at specially reduced prices,
available here.
