Beck’s Announces Seven Nz Music Month Beck’s Sets
Beck’s – a beer internationally embracing innovative music and art – today announces The Beck’s Sets series for New Zealand Music Month featuring seven live concerts nationwide.
The series – in partnership with the New Zealand Music Commission – is an opportunity for music fans in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin to embrace some of their favourite bands and check-out new talent.
There are 20 diverse and exciting acts in all from Doprah and She’s So Rad to Lawrence Arabia and Phoenix Foundation.
The Beck’s Sets kicks off with two free shows on May 1 - a free lunch time concert by Lawrence Arabia in Takutai Square, Britomart, followed in the evening by a synth/guitar band showcase featuring She’s So Rad, Delete Delete and Paquin.
Tickets to Beck’s Sets shows are available from UnderTheRadar.co.nz from 9am today (Thursday April 17).

o Thursday May 1, Takutai Square, Britomart (12.15pm): Lawrence Arabia (free)
o Thursday May 1, Tyler St Garage, Auckland (8pm): She’s So Rad, Delete Delete, Paquin (free)
o Friday May 2, Matterhorn, Wellington (11pm): Doprah
o Thursday May 15, DuxLive, Christchurch (8pm): Janine & The Mixtape + guests
o Saturday May 17, Kings Arms, Auckland (8pm): Native Tongue showcase featuring Phoenix Foundation, The Bads, Mulholland
o Saturday May 24, Chicks Hotel, Dunedin (8pm): David Kilgour & The Heavy8’s, Death & The Maiden, Brown.
o Friday May 30, Kings Arms, Auckland (8pm): Arch Hill Records 15th Birthday, featuring Don McGlashan, Ghost Wave, Street Chant, The Transitors, Surf City, Doprah & special guests.
Peter Dick of Beck’s New Zealand says the Beck’s Sets and Beck’s new partnership with the New Zealand Music Commission heralds a new level of commitment to the local music scene.
