Mad Men Star Brings His One-Man Cabaret Show To Nz For One Night Only.
Auckland, April 17th 2014) For the first time in New Zealand, star of Broadway, TV and film Bryan Batt brings his
fabulous one-man cabaret show, Batt on a Hot Tin Roof, to the Concert Chamber at the Auckland Town Hall for one night
only, Sunday 22 June at 7.30pm.
Winner of two Screen Actors Guild awards for his portrayal of Salvatore Romano in the Emmy and Golden Globe winning
series Mad Men, Batt went on to star in the Academy Award winning film12 Years a Slave. Alongside his screen credits he
is also an accomplished author with two bestselling books to his name, Big, Easy Style and his “momoir”, She Ain’t
Heavy, She’s My Mother.
A lyric baritone, New York audiences have been delighting in Bryan’s performances on Broadway for decades, including his
work in Sunset Boulevard, Saturday Night Fever, Starlight Express, Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat.

Batt on a Hot Tin Roof takes inspiration from Bryan’s upbringing in New Orleans, drawing on his experiences of Hurricane
Katrina as well as his musical theatre and comedy chops. With a repertoire that ranges from Billy Joel to Burt Bacharach
and Cole Porter, Batt on a Hot Tin Roof takes audiences on a cabaret journey from New Orleans to New York, with Bryan’s
imitable style and panache.
Audiences will have the chance to get up close and personal with Bryan with a ‘Meet and Greet’, to be held at the
conclusion of the show. These exclusive and limited ‘Meet and Greet’ tickets can be purchased for $70 + service fee.
