Dilmah launches tea capsules
Loyal tea drinkers will be able to entertain their tea-loving friends at the push of button with the New Zealand launch of Dilmah tea capsules.
Available in popular Earl Grey and English Breakfast, the new tea capsules are compatible with Nespresso machines and allow for an alternative, and quicker, tea making experience to traditional tea bags. The perfect cup of tea traditionally takes three minutes to draw out the full flavour and goodness, Dilmah still encourages this as the best way to make tea while recognizing that for many people this simply doesn’t happen. A tea capsule takes just 30 seconds to produce the perfect cuppa every time.
Set to appeal to coffee and tea drinkers alike, the capsules are the latest release within the Dilmah Single Region range, with tea leaves carefully handpicked in renowned tea-growing regions of Sri Lanka. The leaves used for the English Breakfast capsule are grown in the Dimbula Valley, an area known for producing rich, strong and full-bodied teas. Meanwhile, the Earl Grey leaves are cultivated in the Ratnapura region, resulting in a strong, bergamot-infused brew.
Easy to use and convenient, the foil-wrapped capsules retain the same freshness, flavour and high quality characteristics for which Dilmah is renowned. The leaf preparation involves withering, rolling, oxidation and firing: the same attention-to-detail process used by Dilmah for more than 25 years.
Dilmah tea capsules in Earl Grey and English Breakfast varieties are $7.79 for a 10 pack. You will find them alongside coffee capsules in New World supermarkets from late March and Countdown supermarkets from late April.
