Mighty fine things to do over Easter Weekend
Easter weekend is the perfect time to hit the road and explore New Zealand and what better way to do it than taking your accommodation with you.
At Mighty Campers we love to make sure you get the most out of your holiday but don’t spend all of your hard earned pennies at once which is why we’ve picked our top five value friendly activities.
These are the Mighty fine places you should head to make the most of the long weekend and have a little bit of fun and chocolate along the way.
1. If you’re in Auckland head along to the Coca-Cola Easter Show at ASB Showgrounds otherwise at the other end of the country the Royal Queenstown Easter Show is back for the sixth year. (Admission is free for both events, choice!)
2. More FM are holding a Great Easter Egg hunt in Whanganui’s Majestic Square from 10am-12pm on Saturday 19th so head along for heaps of giveaways, chocolate and competitions
3. Hop to Auckland’s Butterfly Creek for Egg & Spoon races, Easter eggs giveaways, farm animals, and a chance to win the cutest photo competition. A great family day out. (Prices range from $10)
4. Taupo is the place to be if you’re after a long brunch on Easter Weekend, its back for a second year featuring a jazz band and buffet. (Tickets range from $10-$30)
5. For those of you are festival goers, we suggest you take a look at the Alternate Species Easter Shizzle which incorporates an intimate psychedelic music and light festival with a mix of local and internal bands and DJ’s. It from Friday18th from 3pm to Saturday 19th to 6pm. (Tickets are $60)
