New venue for Richter City Roller Derby
Wellington's Richter City Roller Derby is rolling into its first game of the season - with a new venue to boot.
The Richter City Convicts will take to the track on Saturday 12 April against Whakatane Roller Derby League. Kilbirnie Recreation Centre will be the new base for Wellington roller derby in 2014.
“The Convicts are a strong team, but we haven’t played for our home crowd since 2012,” said Convicts’ Captain, Emear O’Connell – Gael Force. “This time, we’ve got new opponents, on a new track, and we’re ready to show everyone what we’ve got!”
“Wellingtonians are great at supporting Richter City Roller Derby, and having a chance to play in front of them will definitely give us a boost!”
