New Zealand Comedy Trust presents Last Laughs

Last Laughs is your last chance to see the 2014 Billy T Award nominees together on the big stage before one of the five is crowned live at the event – and bestowed the hallowed “yellow towel”, symbolic of one of New Zealand’s most beloved comedian, Billy T James.

Hosted by Dai Henwood (7Days), it also serves as a great opportunity for audiences who may not have seen their shows to take a glimpse at the finalists – Brendon Green, Guy Montgomery, Jamaine Ross, Stephen Witt and Tim Batt.

The killer final night of the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival in cahoots with Old Mout Cider also plays host to the awarding of the FRED Award, with its three finalists taking to the stage to also have one last shot at earning the award.

As always, surprise special guests and a celebration of the best of what the 2014 Festival had to offer, will again enthral audiences as this year’s proceedings come to a climax – you and your mates will no doubt find yourselves laughing and reminiscing around the water cooler for a solid week afterwards!

For those who may of missed out or want to relive the occasion, the Comedy Festival’s good mates TV3 will be filming this closing ceremony for a special broadcast.
